The
challenge.
PRISM is a festival of light installations, and its brand had always been a static logo that couldn't represent the work. Each edition also lost thousands of potential visitors to a clunky third-party ticketing flow with no brand presence at all.
Creative
strategy.
We gave the festival a living identity: a generative motion system where ribbons of light respond to data — time of day, city, installation lineup — so no two frames or posters are ever the same. The same engine powers the ticketing experience, making each ticket a unique generative artefact.
Design
process.
The identity system was built as code, not files. A generative engine renders ribbons of light in the festival’s palette — deep charcoal space, white glow and one signature streak of orange — driven by parameters for each edition, city and installation. The engine outputs everything: social loops, screen posters at the venue, print files for OOH and animated assets for digital advertising.
The ticketing experience was designed and built in-house to replace the third-party flow. Long-scroll storytelling introduces each installation with motion previews from the same engine, then checkout completes in three steps with express payments. On confirmation, the engine renders the buyer’s unique ticket artwork — seeded by their order, the edition and the night they attend.
The system gave the festival something static branding never could: an identity that behaves like the art it celebrates, different every time you look, unmistakable at a glance.

“People screenshots their tickets and posted them. Our ticket became the most shared artwork of the festival.”
